    Hi guys,

So like a lot here I use my iPad and smartphone to access the forum and post replies.
I have noticed when I want to quote a message in my reply, the function does not seem to work on iOS devices.

I can click the quote link in the original post I want to quote, but then I do not have an "insert quote" button near the reply box like I do on the desktop. I have tried the more options button but it had nothing there with regards to inserting the quote.

Is anyone else having the same issue?
Am I not doing something right?

    Perhaps @Simon Hampel could help.

    Cheers!

Thanks for the reply mate, I am on 9.3.1.
But I have just realised I can quote by hitting the reply link next to the quote link.

Now I am confused what the quote link actually does?
When I select it, I changes from +quote to -quote, but it does not seem to do something else?

Anyway thank you @Coota9 for letting me know it's prompted me to look more into it and now I know I can simply hit reply and the message will be quoted, so that's brilliant, cheers!

The 2 best ways of quoting are either to hit Reply under someones post, and that'll quote their whole message, or to highlight the line of text of theirs that you're interested in click Reply on the little popup that comes up.

The latter is better if you want to quote multiple bits as you can repeat that indefinitely to quote as much of someones posts (or even multiple peoples posts) as you want. This is far better and looks way tidier than doing multiple posts in a row and looking like a goose :)
