    I've PM'd you :)
So, the fans quote i originally got said $500. It never mentioned anything about GST, so i thought it was included. Got my invoice after he did the work.. turns out he added GST on top, so it was $550 for 3 fan/light combos. Still not a bad price at all, but @Simon L wins with his fan pricing :)

How can you possibly compare an apple with an apple on works to be down when there are several different factors which will affect how the price might be calculated?

Just using my industry as a micro-example an oil filter for a car might cost me $2 and up to $3 different on a $15 retail filter - from one local supplier to another; based on when you order it (specials) and which brand of filter, etc.

The same filter in a different part of Aus (remote Country town for eg) might be a $20 retail amount - or even $10 in an area where there is a glut of stores which sell auto spare parts.

We had a few quotes for Air con to be installed at our Springfield Lakes IP due to the need of having the living area not having any kind of cooling at all and was suggested by the PM this would make it more rentable when the current tenants moved out. The main bedroom has a Air con but you couldn't hide there all Summer!

The successful quote was from Snap Air Conditioning not only because of price (similar to others) but how he responded to our initial and subsequent portion inquiries.

    The quote:

The supply and installation of the new Mitsubishi Electric 7kw unit is as follows

    MSZ-GL71KIT

7.1kw cooling power 8.1kw heating power Inverter 5 year warranty

Sales price: Supplied & Installed $2449,00 inc Gst

This unit will be installed above the bench are in the kitchen with the outdoor unit mounted on the wall with brackets.

A 20amp feed from the board will be run.

There is $400 total in cash back on this unit. $200 from each below.

Whilst there, we also had the main bedroom Air conditioning serviced for $55.

All in all, happy with the great service and price and would use them again.

Note: My wife and I did our own research for size and make and found this make and model had great reviews. We also chose a size larger than required for the m2 because it won't need to work as hard as a 6.1.

    Cheers,

    Martin
