Three reasons why celebrating your wins is so critically important to your success.

    Article by Bill Carmody
3 Reasons Celebrating Your Many Accomplishments Is Critical To Your Success

#1: The Act of Celebrating Changes Your Physiology And Strengthens Your Psychology

When you celebrate, endorphins are released inside your body and you feel incredible. When you accomplish something and don't take the time to celebrate, you are robbing yourself of an important feeling that reinforces your success. So much of what we do in our business is driven (or limited) by our psychology. Celebrating your wins not only feels great physically, but it reinforces the behavior you want to show up when you face a new challenge or opportunity.

Conversely, if you fail to celebrate your many accomplishments, you are training your brain that what you are doing isn't all that exciting and important. If every day feels mundane (even when you are crushing it) you will stop giving 110% of yourself and that will lead to lackluster results. Simply put, the lack of celebration will lead to a feeling of emptiness that will result in less focus and decreased performance over time.

#2: Celebrating with Colleagues and Business Partners Tightens Your Network
By no means must you throw a party to celebrate. There are many psychological and physiological benefits in simply acknowledging your wins (either in a journal or with a close friend or family member). But, there are added benefits when you expand your circle to include your colleagues and business partners.

While in a peak state of celebration, you have the added benefit of strengthening your business network with those around you. Your own celebration is contagious and those around you want to share in your success. As accomplishments are properly recounted, new ideas and opportunities are formed and shared. In a peak state, you feel you can accomplish anything. When surrounded by others who are also in a peak state, it's natural to look for ways to collaborate and strengthen your network of achievers

#3: Your Celebrations Position You Correctly as a Winner and Attracts More Success
Success begets more success, so it's only natural to build upon existing momentum; especially during events of celebration. As you look to grow your business, celebratory events not only reinforce the positive aspects of what you are doing, but positions your business correctly as a desirable company with which others would like to associate.

Perception becomes reality. As you celebrate your wins, others look for ways to participate in what you have successfully built. The right partnerships are formed via a value-for-value exchange. This means that to attract you to allow others in, there is a high probability they will be coming to the table with ways to expand upon what you've already achieved

    Nice read

This concept is pre biblical old :)...........and has been used for decades by high level success coaches and businesses. We make use o similar in our coaching and mentoring work when approporiate, and have seen hundreds of people proceed well past ther previous self imposed limitations

So much depends on the person here though, many of us cant even accept a comment with a simple thank you, because we have been taught a high level of humility.............which we mis-interpret to reject even genuine praise.

The environment is key ........... as Jim Rohn says, you arent a tree - move !

This could be a bit murky - what if your version of a 'win' isn't the same as everyone else's?

If you celebrate every success, others may just think you're an egotistical, arrogant, narcissistic twat.

Just share it with a community that will appreciate it. But yes... if it's the only thing you ever talk about... (and the listener didn't ask for it)... it gets boring real fast.

Yep. I know some ppl who celebrate putting their socks on before their shoes - gets a bit old. But I feel sorry for those who, due to their introverted nature, never seem to celebrate anything - they deserve a pat on the back, too.

Think there's a lot of quiet achievers out there - but if you are too quiet, you miss the networking opportunities and being able to bounce ideas off another person? A lone person can achieve but they can usually get faster or bigger results with teamwork.

    Celebration stuff aside

I have been called those, and more, and more than once, and even by people close to me, whose opinion is important to me.

Objectively, probably, so has everyone else, relative to the crowd they associate with and thats why many of us are just a little shy of what other people think.

Its normal to want to fit in, and as a Phleg, I am the first to turn away from conflict, and look to change the world by singing Kum Ba Yah around the campfire.

But........ sometimes, just sometimes we need to be courageous just that one time, and step outside of what other people's needs or perceptions are, go outside of societal norms ( within reason) and do what is important to us. Doing anything less tends to limit our potential.

We all have much greater potential than we have belief.

This is probably why real estate franchises have their big night outs and give awards to best performers.

I remember when I worked in tele-marketing, we had a bell to ring each time we got a sale and every one would clap. You might average two or three sales a day if lucky.

One day I falsely rang the bell 23 times lol, everyone thought I was a gun salesman and the company even bought me pizza for lunch. Come end of the day the truth was known and I was asked not to turn up to work anymore lol.

Work hard in silence. Let your success be your noise.

Those with whom the noise of success resonates will seek you out and celebrate you and with you. Those who think they must tolerate you.....meh!

I am a very quiet, humble and introverted person.

So much so, probably most people think I never celebrate anything.

But, I can tell you, I celebrate every success very loudly on the inside ;).

Then it's time to disassociate yourself from these 'others'. Don't waste time thinking about the naysayers and the envious. They'll only hold you back to their low standards.
Sounds harsch, but I believe we do it subconsciously.

'I did really well in this project that I put blood sweat and tears into, but my group of friends said I was just lucky at the time and no one succeeds from working hard.

    'Celebrate'

I think most associate it with a big party, booze, open bar tabs.
I see it as a moment/occasion to acknowledge the success.
Be it a nice lunch/dinner, family gathering, or anything really. Just a moment, no matter how short, to acknowledge the effort put in and success derived from the perseverance.

    wow

They wont be your friends for too long, because all too soon you may believe their views

The only place where work comes before sustained success or significance is in the dictionary..............

100%. I completely support my friends and revel in their successes and more often than not they have the same attitude towards me. I'm extremely careful who I socialise with regularly . Don't care how others view that.

I find some of the best philosophical approaches and wisdom that can be applied to business is from pre biblical or biblical origins. Alot of gems from kings David and Solomon .

The 3D printed versions or seminar packaged versions of the wisdom is the same as chisselled in stone and drawn by our ancestors - just a diff delivery method
