    Hi all,

I'm looking at investing in a Property Trust for a resort.

The PDS is over 115 pages long and I want to pay a professional (on a fee for service basis) to review the PDS to check over the details and make sure that a) it's a good investment based on projections and that b) everything is legit.

What type of professional would offer this service? Should I find a financial advisor, or a lawyer?

    Cheers,

A financial services lawyer would be the person to review a PDS but you would need a financial advisor to give the investment advice

It would cost you a fortune to get this.

    I see.

Actually the investment advice I probably don't need. I've done my due diligence on the numbers and am comfortable with the profections and costs.

Would just a PDS review without the investment advice be expensive to do?

how long would it take for a lawyer to read 115 pages and advise you on it?

Probably a while, so probably not worth it with the amount I'm going to invest.

I thought perhaps these PDS might be standard documents and they'd just be able to just scan through, review the structure and review anything glaring. I guess not though.

You could instruct them to spend an hour on it a scan briefly, but they would qualify their advice so it won't be worth much, unless they find something obvious and it changes your decision. You'd be looking at $500 per hour or so.
