Question for Chinese Buyers only: If there are 4 properties in a chinese population dominated suburb, which of these properties will you choose:
    Property A with a number 4 or 14 or 24
Property B with a sloping down land (higher at the front and lower at the back)
Property C with a light pole right in front of the property on the nature strip
Property D with its land being wider at front and narrower at back

Give me some opinion,so arrange in order from most desirable to least desirable (For example: C-B-D-A with C being most desirable)

    Thank everybody.

None of the above. Hate the suburb. Prefer a area where the growth and school opportunities are best.

Not much help. Does that include Uigher, vietnamese, Philippino Australia s defended from Chinese immigrants 200 years ago?

If so what is the point?

My wife is Chinese. According to her:

    A. To be disregarded. No meaning whatsoever in fengshui.
    B. House must be higher than street, essential for someone looking to make progress in society. Not a problem if looking for a quiet, retired life.
    C. Only a problem if pole is right in front of the main entrance.
    D. Old age could be less auspicious. Only a problem if you intend to live there until later in life.

    In summary A-C-D-B.

However I have no idea if her views are widely shared among other Chinese people. FYI our home has got both A and C but it has brought us a lot of happiness over the last 18 years:).

Question for Mt Druitt Anglo Buyers only: If there are 4 properties in a houso population dominated suburb, which of these properties will you choose:
    Property A with a number 69
Property B with a sloping down land (so you can see your crops in the backyard)
Property C with a light pole right in front of the property so you can tap into and bypass the meter
Property D with its land being wider at front and narrower at back so you can fit heaps of unregistered cars in the front

Give me some opinion,so arrange in order from most desirable to least desirable (For example: C-B-D-A with C being most desirable)

    You forgot:
E: In a dead end street & beside a walkway (yes, these are valid choices for easy exit - just ask any taxi driver who's had a runner)
    F: Near an underpass walkway
G: Erskine Park, St Marys, Dhurruk, Doonie - anywhere but the dreaded

GEDBAFC - you don't want extra lights in front of the house (deals go down better in the dark near a laneway ).

This thread has been a fun read. I worked with a bloke from the Mt Druitt while I was in Sydney last and he had some home town stories that made my drill spin... What a place ;)

OP If you're strategy is to target cashed up foreigners and aquire properties inline with their desires/culture it might be worth considering what the cashed up foreign buyer of the future looks like for this strategy. Thanks to Govt intervention much less investment capital is flying out of mainland China right now. Maybe that relaxes in the future or maybe it becomes tighter still. Some food for thought.
