Buying a 36 year old property in Gold Coast. Looks like the two bathrooms and the kitchen has been renovated. There's also the air conditioner and the solar panel and swimming pool pumps.

Just wondering if it's worth getting a depreciation schedule done.

If yes, could anyone recommend a quantity surveyor to me?

either BMT or depreciator are worth having a chat to see whether it is worth getting done.

i think both of them have a commitment where the schedule is free if your depreciation benefits are less than the tax benefits in year one.

best to ask them to confirm

Yes. Any new purchase short of a bark hut (well, just about) is worth getting a depreciation schedule for, as long as you have a taxable income and are holding the property for more than six months. The above is true in all but the rarest of circumstances.
