We own a typical 70s brick highset home in Brisbane, with three bedrooms, kitchen, living and bathroom upstairs, and garage and storage downstairs.

Has anyone dug in under this type of house to make the lower floor legal height. I know it would be very expensive, but I’d like to get a rough idea - $100k? $200k?

We have been given an approximation of $100k to lift a meter, rather than dig. This includes adding a main bdr with ensuite and second toilet. Its hard to quite though as not many seem to raise brick houses, to difficult I guess. How are you going with quotes?
