hi guys anyone have any experience with QBCC and the "warranty" that is covered for new properties in that 6 year period ? basically im a newbie with this kinda thing, long story short i have a new build thats nearing that 6 year mark, wondering if its worth getting a building inspection done again before this 6 year period is up ? will the QBCC help with any possible issues found ? any advice/personal experiences is welcomed, thanks
It covers structural defects. Any evident ? The period is 6years + 6 months and the time period can be from when the premium was paid OR work commenced so ensure you know which applies. QBCC can advise that date The first point of call is the builder. Their warranty lasts that time. QBCC is only involved if they dont act or are bankrupt etc
ok thanks, no, no structural problems evident, just thought it may be prudent to inspect before this time is up.
