Gees last l heard he'd changed one of their political rules so that it would mean he can't be voted out and so he'd be running the place for another 20yrs.

You don’t get many political options in Russia and if you are a bit different you are not allowed to be part of the Duma.

He is loved by quite a lot of older folks. Cleared a lot of corruption in the country and increased pensions 10 folds. So he has a fairly loyal base among the older people. That demographic doesn’t care for democracy, let alone change. They will be upset if he does go and afraid.

He did do a lot of good, in his own, twisted way.

Younger generation wants change. But aren’t all young people pro change. Problem they have little power or say. And if mafia and corrupt officials come back, people will come running to Putin.

Similar to here. With climate change, green job and coal loving lobbies.

I saw the title and thought it was in reference to Australian property prices :)
With trump gone, people going on Christmas hols, life being "Covid Normal" yes I can see a jump in the market thru January :D

Putin has done ok overall, I'd of thought he would be there forever but life never goes quite as planned
Will a leadership change really affect us though ?

Read somewhere once a lady was getting kicked out of her home bc it was too far gone. But that very week Putin sent a truck and all the workers with a brand new home on the back.

Combined with some other (ahem) dictatorship leader changes, anything is possible ... we are part of the global community

Putin’s got a girlfriend 30 years his junior. He wouldn’t have the energy to run a country. Must retire.

There is talk of Parkinson’s disease, but Kremlin is not saying that this is the case.
