Yep. They pay up front. Who cares after that how much it sells for or even if it does at all.

    Sad.

They want a cheque for their whole fee upfront ? That wont work for many sellers. The traditional method has been release from deposit and/or on settlement ?

No guarantee for service delivery. I wouldnt.

Just checked their website and I will have to say their maths isnt great. $5999 + $770 = $6,769. Whats the $600 sting ??

This is our standard fee for a Private Treaty in NSW/VIC where we charge $5,999 inc. GST.

Our customers can pay an extra $770 for a viewings service; which covers all unlimited open homes and private viewings.

The $7,369 includes all unlimited open homes and private viewings in the fixed fee

Makes it interesting when the agent is a dud and they go list with a normal agent and end up with a significant sunken cost.

I believe we've had two threads here in the past/another forum with situations like that.

Purple Bricks is great to buy from. They tend to list with motivated sellers who have priced the properties realistically. The guys in my area are very professional and their ads are great- top 10% of agents.

Still wouldn't sell with them if they were the last agents on earth.

Purplebrick is terrible in my area (Melbourne western suburb). Went to 2 open homes, both agents were late for 5-10 mins. No appology. No docs except 1 A4 brochure. Cannot answer any questions. One home was only sold after 4 months on the market for a not so great price.

A client of mine who holds a Diploma Of Property applied to a job advertisement as a sales associate, not so much as a return acknowledgement, call, absolutely nothing.
This alone tells me it is a B grade agency, no people skills at all, and if you look at their sales, the very few, they are B grade sales in dollar terms.

Seems Purple Bricks have more cards up their sleeves and have been getting into trouble.

I particularly like the fact that if you use your own settlement agent there is an extra charge - hello kickbacks!

    Purple Bricks found out

The article is written by the head of REIWA in Perth so there is some bias and Perthisms but very very scary that most are unlicensed therefore not held to any accountability with their duty
