    Hi

I am looking at a few properties in the hills district with bush backyard.

example: 13 Greenvale Place, Castle Hill, NSW 2154

What are the pros/cons here? Obvious pro is it's a massive land for a reasonable price. But does this mean that we can't clear the bush ever and there won't be a backyard?

Any other things I need to be aware of? Anything I should be checking on?

Thanks for all the great members in advance!

I can't see any problems from the perspective of purchasing the property.

There's probably going to be some restrictions on the removal of native trees. It would be worth a quick chat with the local council.

Bushfire insurance might be expensive as well.

The creek might be having an effect on the foundations. Make sure you get a decent building report if it comes close to the structure.

It's a beautiful property, I'd want to live there. :)

Puzzles me as to why buy something surrounded by bush and the first thing on the list is to clear the bush clearly decreasing the value of the block.

Prefer a little backyard for the kids. By no means will clear out the whole thing

    Have you viewed the property?

There may be some yard behind the garage/house etc, on the opposite side to the deck.

Definitely check the bush fire rating for the land and how that might impact you - you might not be able to do extensions or certain renovations.

It's a beautiful block. I imagine the easiest way to create some garden area is to take up some paving so you can put in some grass area as there seems to be quite a lot of paved areas.
