    PropertyChat turns 2 years old today!

    We now have 415,000 posts and 9,800 validated members.

    What I'm even more happy about is that as of March 2017, we've finally surpassed Somersoft's monthly website visitor and visits figures! It's taken only 2 years for a brand new site to exceed the levels of a site that has been operating for 15 years and has significant backlinks and authority and a huge body of content indexed by the search engines (1.3m posts compared to our 400k posts).

    Given that over 80% of the visits to both sites originate from search engines (ie someone searches for something in Google and then clicks a link which lands on Somersoft or PropertyChat), these visit/visitor figures are representative of how well the site is indexed and respected by the search engines - Google specifically since over 90% of the search engine traffic comes from there.

    Somersoft's best month ever was the last full month before we launched PropertyChat - May 2015.

    PropertyChat had more visits than Somersoft's best for the first time in March 2017, and we exceeded that level again in May 2017.

    Despite having no forum traffic, Somersoft's visitor numbers have been increasing too - after a low in December 2015, it has steadily increased and is not far from its peak levels from 2014/2015. PropertyChat started from a very low level when we launched and has just overtaken Somersoft's number of unique visitors for the first time in May 2017.

    I'll post a full set of forum stats over the course of the day.

    How are the monthly stats going? Are they slowing down as the Sydney boom comes to an end?
    Can you do stats by state from the IP? That'd be very interesting.

    The forum is really coming along in a big way.

    Its also much user friendly than SS for people like me that are technically challenged its a big one.

    I also like the fact that it has broadened now and you have lots of talk about shares, makes it interesting.

    I am curious, I wonder how many property boom cycles we had during the SS era:confused: and whether we saw a spike ? Boom cycles I guess should attract more traffic to property forums.
    Since commencement of PC we have had 2 boom cycles, I think? unless I missed one??

    And by then we'll need buyers agent advocates as well to help us choose which BA to use.
