Cardboard soaked in that much fat and salt would probably taste good too.

Careful, they might not like you revealing their secret recipe.

Fit ladies can join this challenge too, pics are welcome :)
To be honest, one motivating factor of going to group training classes for me is seeing all the you athletic ladies performing their exercises.
Beats training alone in a boring garage.

    Awesome work Kinnon!

This is what works for me too. I heard Mark Sisson speak on a podcast once (he's an advocate for that way of eating) and I've been hooked since.

Well, I guess I'm not as fit as I reckon, so I'll give it a go.
    I'm 82kg and 180cm.
Been floating about 80kgs for quite some time.
I'll aim for 80kg. Will probably get there after a visit to Eating World and a trip to the bathroom ;)
Sorry Eating World, you're actually pretty good!

Totally agree. It only takes one girl and my performance immediately lifts 10%.

I told my wife there was a fitness model at my new gym quite often when I go. She didn't really respond in the way I thought. Even when I tried to explain that she outlifted me and I was intimidated.

Coming in a little late, but I'm game. Scary to post my actual weight online

As some may or may not know, I used to be a competitive figure skater. Never overweight... until recently.

Couple of photos for reference. First one is me at almost 19, about 55kgs or so and the next was 3 months to the day of having Benji (now almost 4yo) and was about 65kgs - still bigger than I wanted but was on my way. Fast forward less than 6 months from there, some serious PND and other things all at the same time and I was at 95kgs - then went up and stayed at 98kgs for a while :(

    Anyway, onto the current day.

    Weight - 90kgs
    Height - 153cm (I'm bloody short)
    Age - 24
    Goal - 60kgs

I want to do this because I want to be comfortable with myself for the first time in my life, be happy, have energy to play with Benji and be much more like a 24 year old rather than who I am now.

Definitely, it's genetically programmed isn't it?

Great for you - the 8kg so far, and the decision to contribute and participate!. You are sooo much younger than I had thought!!

I hit my squat max reps this morning - combination of that and some Rage against the Machine.

I do enjoy going to the gym in painters type clothes (Im not a painter) when everyone else is dressed up. I'm close to the daggiest dad in the world.

Yummy - what's more enticing than pea & ham soup? (out if you're Muslim esp @ Ramadan). Bubbling away right now. This will be my special recipe for the week - best recipe is the one on the back of the green split pea pack. Managed to score a fresh ham bone from the deli - stuck a couple more in the freezer for ron.
Have become more sensitive to foods such as garlic, onion, celery and lentils over last few years but I doubt they will bloat me out as much as some of the other cr@pola I like to get my hands on.Will have plenty to take some in for the sts tomorrow.
By the way, my thinly veiled declarations of being able to cope with a little chocolate (and chips) is farcical. Cannot have the brown stuff in the house - does not last very long at all. Am a self-confessed chocoholic and it is o.u.t. for the next 3 months at least. tbh, it doesn't actually make me feel good - unless I have't eaten it for yonks. What a dreadful dichtomy. Easier just to grieve and let it go. :p
Somehow seem to be looking slimmer - how does it work so quick?
Well I guess I'm right up there with the heavy weights. Did a quick bmi check last night and it looks like I've hit the big O @ 32. It can only get better from here. :)

    Ooh so pretty!
The fitter you are, the more your body goes to pot when you stop with the self-care: that's my theory. A finely tuned machine needs to stay that way.

I used to eat a lot more food during my weight-obsessed 2 hours per day gym long time ago. High physical activity usually means eating more. The extra eating doesn't really stop if you stop the exercise :-\

True... we know a cyclist who was approaching being able to be picked up by a European team, but he didn't make it. He stopped cycling but kept eating like he was cycling and has put on a lot of weight. To see him now you'd not think he has ever been an elite athlete.

One of my friends (from golf life) used to be an ex-VFL player for Richmond back in the 80's (before AFL).

Use to be 6'3" and about 100kg's...now about 140kg's at a guess.

Yep; guilty there - usually a teaspoon.

I don't eat a lot of crap otherwise, so the sugar intake is not too bad considering the rest of humanity...

    Although; white wine!!!? :eek::p

The exercise that goes with it (cardboard food :p) is important too.
