Ok this is a 60 years old solid appearing brick house but with stair-step large cracks every room. Reported as issue with foundation. Very dry weather does not help the situation. Before knock down and rebuilds, should this house be rented out cheap for let say a couple of years (after a quick patch up)??

Depends on how big the cracks are. A couple of mm, could be attributed to soil conditions, >5mm and can see daylight, I'd be getting an engineer (possibly require footing works and helicoils in the brick joints).

    Thanks @Scott No Mates
I was hoping no major work need to be involved for a couple of years because it will be knocked down anyway. I don’t want to put much other than quick touch up. Cracks are horizontal and >8mm so definitely issue with foundation though...
