I found this great Commonwealth Bank site which allows you to search for the latest property values in Australia. Useful tool for research.....enjoy!

Does a free standing townhouse count as a house or a unit?

    Thanks

What a great tool. thanks for the link.

Can certainly gain a good insight into the market and it's more up to date than the "official" stats which are usually a couple of months behind.

    Hello,
Yes, an interesting site, but does it take into consideration the DIFFERENCES of housing WITHIN a particular suburb or post code?
Some post codes have a mixture of million-dollar homes, as well as some less-expensive houses.
To me, it's all too general, and of no great value.
I wouldn't like to base my investment decisions on this type of data.
Do your own personal research ( DD ) on each suburb or post code.
    Thanks,
    Jayar
