Property research- is watching american property research videos a good idea?

Hi all, it seems that on youtube its mainly usa videos when it comes too property investing content- australia doesn't seem to have as much on youtube?

is this still going to be good to watch or am i best to stick too just australian content? Im sure the rules would be different over there and certainly different tactics ect.

would like some advice from others thanks all!

 

I personally wouldn't waste my time looking at any other country's property data besides Australia.

 

makes sense really, property works different over there compared too here

 

Some others like like to look at Japan, Dublin etc and try and draw correlations etc.

To me, it's all hocus pocus nonsense. I only look at Australian data/on the ground feedback to make purchasing decisions.

 

Many people read and believe foreign tax laws and strategies apply here. The property market, tax laws and borrowing rules are completely different in each country. If planning to borrow offshore ideas from a Youtube video consider it adapt it or discard it based on local issues.
