A lot of people I know have many assumptions about good living:
    $4 coffee every morning
    family day out every month
dinner party for kids birthday with interesting presents
    presents to kids' friends' birthday
have to live somewhere close to the beach
    latest iphone/watch/mac/pad
    xbox games
    which are their must-haves.
Interestingly, these people tend to forgo buying a house and don't care about increase in rates as it doesn't affect their lifestyle.

Balmain is a premium price suburb.
Casula NSW academy of learning 4 years olds. Are $80 per day. Caringbah is $105 oer day so about $18,000 per annum
You can. Find. Extremely cheap and Extremely expensive.

Balmain like Bondi does not represent the whole. Of Sydney.

My point is Sydney is not all Expensive Sydney has both top and bottom end.

An Au Pe would cost $300 per week and thats for uo to 3.kids if you are happy her living woth you.

Correct they do, however the data is not weighted proportionately across the cities and regionals. It's heavy on Sydney and Melbourne. The argument would be that Sydney and Mel have a high value of re compared to the other guys and thus they are a barometer of making statements such as worst in 30 years etc. With that argument, it's party correct as it's dollar based and impact based, but incorrect to apply it uniformly across all cities.

True but population density means that more people are paying high prices for childcare.
