Hi everyone, my first ever question on here. I did a search and couldn't find anything useful. There was some useful info on somersoft but the threads I was looking at didn't get far as the forum closed.

My first IP was just built and I got keys last week. I now need a PM and was after some advise. IP is in Helena Valley which is about a 30 min drive east of Perth city, near the hills. At this stage I am looking at 'De Freitas and Ryan' and 'Investors Edge'. Have you guys got any experiences with them? Any other suggestions?

Don't know the area but if me I'd give DFR a shot before any others, unless they can match 10% all inclusive.

    Hi there,

One of my properties is in Forrestfield in WA. I interviewed DFR and Paddington Realty when it came time for me to relocate to SA. Being a PM myself I think helped gain a better gut feel of what people are about - the lady who came out from DFR didn't really seem as on the ball as Rob from Paddington did. Their fee structures were very similar, but that's down the order of priorities for me.

Website is here. If you use him, please tell him Dave sent you.

@D.T. that's not the first time I am hearing those comments about DFR. What are your experiences with Paddington like?

It's been good so far. Perth vacancy rate is awful at the moment and they were very proactive in securing a tenant as quickly as possible, negotiated some things with the tenant in my favour. I deal with Rob there - he knows what he's doing.

@D.T I will call Paddington tomorrow. Hope I can find the right company/PM without meeting them in person, as I am in QLD. Why did you pick them along with DFR? Was it their low-ish fee structures? Proximity to Forrestfield?
