Freebies! I missed there, no worries.

Will hopefully see you there. I find meeting/talking with others as much value as the seminar.

Lot's of learning opportunity, but the last one I attended had about half a dozen different speakers, all of whom were very good and all had a 'buy my product today for a discount' pitch.

They are not going to tell you anything you dont know.
You can learn more of this Forum.:)

I am surprised some of you are even attending considering I think some of you have more knowledge than the Speakers they are having.

What if I said I was one of the Speakers, would you still pay to attend?o_O

herein lies a common challenge in the life coaching/goals work we do with people.

    1. Knowing and doing are hugely different things. One cant benefit from one without the other

    2. Repetition. Sometimes I need to hear/see/ experience the same thing to actually benefit

    3. My timing and readiness to accept new concepts and ideas......... I have watched/listened to recordings of live seminars I have been to and can swear that concept or idea XYZ was NOT covered while i was there........

Contextually I hear what you are saying, for me, it manifested manifest in a "low growth" mindset.

I still have a lot to learn. I just want to do it in a cost effective way (free, if possible ).

The moment we think we know 'everything', we are gonna lose money fast. I cannot tell you how many times I read a book, property magazine, attended some seminar (not too expensive ones) and I was able to take away even 1 sentence that made it worth it for me. If I attend 20 events and only 1 event gives me some small idea, spur some thought, some motivation that I decided to act on etc.. then for me its worth it. I am prepared to do what most will never do in order to have the potential to achieve what most never will. Yes, sounds corny but it happens to also be true.

Not too many years ago I attended a Sydney Seminar and they actually mentioned something very interesting about Brisbane. I left the seminar early to race home and do some research. That seminar I am confident spurred an idea and awareness about a particular area/type of stock that will yield me about 2 million dollars. I think it was a free seminar too.

Cheers mate. I've just always been a big fan of expanding my knowledge/ideas from day 1 with investing. Mindset is also huge to me but we wont get into that :)

Sorry but I'd disagree with every sentence above.

    * When I've attended there's been presentations on things that I haven't read about here.
    * You can learn a lot from a lot of different sources.
    * Each of the speakers was quite successful in their own way. Pretty arrogant to believe that you know at least as much as they do, given that they all appeared to be more successful than most people I've met.
    * There's a lot of people on this forum that I'd pay $97 if they were on the roster.

This doesn't invalidate my previous comments, I still wouldn't take my credit card. But that's so I don't impulse buy, not because I don't think there's value in it.
