After disliking the property managers that I had for my own properties, and not liking how property management was done at other agencies I worked for I started my own agency. No better resolution to things you're unhappy with than to get in there and do it yourself the way you think it should be done.
Might need to borrow you at some stage :)

It's too specific - I'd be easy to find. Then I'd have to be nicer on Internet forums

I run a one-person software business - very niche: structural engineering software for UK building professionals. I come from a building background, not computing: I got interested in computing as a hobby when the first home computers appeared and a hobby project gradually evolved into a business, and 27 years on is still a useful earner. When I first got the idea of moving to Melbourne (from UK) my plan was to ultimately sell the business and retire, but with the internet going from nothing to everywhere in just a few years I realised I could move here and carry on as before. How it all began: Greentram Software Museum

I reopened my mortgage broking business earlier this year and am loving it. It's such a different world in business to work because you want to, rather than thinking of each person as a dollar (or a commission value). Working from home I can sit in front of the computer in my slippers and the heater on and I'm just down the road from daycare and school to continue to take part in activities with the kids.

I just started a new business last week - BusinessChat :: Australian Business Forums ... website isn't quite finished yet, but the forums are operational - feel free to join in.

So now we can have a chat about businesses who chat about businesses :D

I'll make a more detailed announcement in the next couple of days.

I have a full time day job, but three afternoons a week I teach the flute - the website is www.perthflutelessons.com.au.
Love it. Even the bad days are good. :p

    Good stuff.
Band Camp wouldn't be the same without some flute activity.
