Properties with pools, bay views, water frontage and nearby beaches most demanded in 2018

'In 2018, it seems living next to the water was very important to Australian home buyers. ‘Waterfront’, ‘water views’ and ‘beach’ were all among the most popular keywords on our website for 2018. However, trumping all other keyword searches was ‘pool’, which was searched for 2,171,950 times throughout the year.'

New large homes with a garage, shed and granny flat in a beach side setting are the most important features of a property in 2018.

 

Doesn't surprise me - Australians love our coast! I would be careful though - these aren't the most 'demanded' properties, just the most 'searched' words. It's fun to look at beach side properties with great views, but it doesn't mean I'll be buying them.

 

If I could afford them, I would be.

 

I agree they are definitely the most envied types of properties. These features seem to be at the top of peoples list when shopping for property.

 

You probably can afford similar properties just further down the coast or on smaller blocks.
