NSW PROP in Sydney within $700-800k

    Hi guys,

    I am thinking to buy my first home. Based on my borrowing capacity and deposit, I can afford to buy somewhere in a range of $700-800k. My plan is to buy somewhere which has a potential for added value later (i.e. subdivision, renovation or rebuild) but as I have not done any of these before I am not sure how I can select/search for the right property.

    Currently, I am looking more in the west Sydney suburbs like the hills and Parramatta area.

    What would be your suggestion in terms of factors I should take into account and suburbs that might fit well with my budget and goal?

    If I decide to buy a townhouse/unit, what would be potential added value for that?
