I haven't followed it up yet to be honest. I have been to busy with work and family. Might work on the application this weekend.

    Update on the builders licence.
I went to fair trading this afternoon and they said most of the application looks good. I just need more references to show more of the 2 years experience.

Getting there! Does the experience need to be within a set time frame? And does it have to be experience outside of apprenticeship?

It can't be more than 10 years ago and I believe they include apprenticeship as long as you were working for a builder doing all aspects of a supervisors role.

I think once I have got the referee statements for more proof it should be sweet.

AFAIK - the apprenticeship is up to trade level qualification only (and trade licence), supervision etc comes after that with leading hand, foreman, supervisor etc.

Eeeek. I could be in a bit of strife then..
I only worked about 2 yrs past 4th year, then left building. Which is close to 9yrs ago maybe. Now working for myself.
Should be finished cert 4 by end of year.
Sounds like i mite struggle to get my licence approved

In all honesty it probably will be hard for you. They aren't very lenient when giving out a builders licence. I have been a full time carpenter for 17 years this year and it is still hard for me to get. I suppose it's good in a way if there are no loop holes for the dodgey blokes.
