Private certifier cost on the Gold Coast

    I just got my first quote for a private certifier on the Gold Coast for a reno we are doing. It seems a bit high to me however I have not used a private certifier before.
    We are keeping within the council boundary stipulation except for a carport going to 300mm on the side boundary. Other than that we are adding a 4th bedroom to a bungalow.
    The quote is $3070 -
    includes
    $1050 Building certification fee
    $50 search fees
    $250 energy Assessment
    $300 preparation of relaxation report
    and
    council fees of,
    $81 Lodgement fee
    $28 As construted drainage fee
    $1146 Relaxation fees
