I recently used a pressure water cleaner to clean off clay from my concrete driveway. I noticed that it did more cleaning than I expected. So this is progress on cleaning the driveway (shortly before the house goes on the market). It's mostly leaf marking (tannin) rather than oil based.

    I love pressure washing.

    It's so visually satisfying. :D

I did our pool surround and patio pavers a few weeks ago. They didn't look really dirty, except the moss/mould patches, until I started cleaning. OMG!

I'd forgotten they were such a light colour.

Great for cleaning car tyres as well. Also any dried bird droppings on the paintwork.

Acetone works better on tyres than water.

I thought acetone is used clean the rims not the tyres.

My builder claimed the PC and I paid the full payment already. Last week when we did the handover, we noticed the concrete floor was muddy and there were concrete stain on the wall still. We asked the builder to have a look. They came back to say they tried already. And asked us to prove it is a defect. Just wonder if there is any standard for cleaning work.? I couldn't google any Australia Standard/Code for cleaning actually. Worse come to worse, we may need to clean it by renting a machine ourselves. :([IMG]

Go to bunnings, buy a hatchet to scrape off majority of cement splash, then use some hydrochloric mix (using ppe) and a stiff (wire) brush to clean off and quickly wash away (dilute) with water from a hose.

Will take less time and frustration compared to chasing the responsible contractor !

No, different trades at different times.....
The path/concrete job is overly poor !
The splash up the wall could have easily been averted by plastic & tape, or even brushed with a wet rag prior to drying.

The brick cleaning looks good, it is the cowboy that has done the paving that has left the mess. Good luck getting it off if t is concrete.
