Outside looks pretty nice. Inside I guess looks 90s but still... nice house. What are the kitchen and bathrooms like?

I'm a "before and after photo" tragic. Looking forward to seeing what you do...

I gave the kitchen away free on Gumtree. A guy and his wife drove overnight from Mudgee to take it. Turns out they'd only been connected to internet the day before and their first foray onto Gumtree reaped them a new ( for them ) kitchen. She absolutely LOVED the kitchen - so did my Mum just quietly, but my wife hated the dated styling and that was that. Hubby and wifey toiled all day , stripped it down, loaded it into a gigantic trailer they'd hauled down and then drove back to Mudgee same night. One mans trash is another mans treasure, right? I only kept the Bosch in wall dual oven and the Miele dishwasher. Both were only 3 years old and completely re-usable in our new kitchen

Floors were left uneven after tile removal. Floor grinding was done today , in time for floor boards being installed this weekend. Plantation shutters check measure done today - installed in 4-6 weeks. Putting 2 x Cat 6A data points into most rooms of the house. That's being done next week. All lights being removed and replaced by LED downlights next week.

Paint base coat done. Dulux Casper White against Dulux Vivid White in ground floor front of house + whole of upstairs. Dulux Roe against Vivid White in rear of ground floor.

Looking forward to after photos also. I repainted our walls vivid white as part of a home extension - really livened up the darker areas of the house.

Redoing kitchens and bathrooms of that size not going to come cheap.......

image2.jpg image11.jpg Kitchen design has been finalised. Will look very similar to this design. We are using a new (ish) material called Laminam as the sheet sizes are much larger than any other manufactured stone option. Marble was ruled out early due to porous nature and high risk of staining.

For anyone looking for something stronger than stone or marble or granite, but more stain resistant- check out Neolith and Laminam . Neolith almost got the nod but my wife has chosen a 1.6 metre wide island and it wouldnt quite "cut" it , size wise. Laminam won the day .
