You were already at least notch 1 on my respect ladder.
I used an orbital sander for the first time today to sand a bit of floor the size of a fridge base. I was very proud of myself. But I learnt that one should remove glue/adhesive first.
    Photos to prove it too.
    You are next planet.

Scaffold could go in now you have the floor down ? But at a cost obviously... You can pick it up cheap at auctions though ;)

Buy/Hire Scaffold and put it on the dance floor you just laid, that will get you up higher from the inside.

Or depending what's happening up top you may get away with a couple of the mobile scaffold

The joists are hardwood. The framing timber is mgp12 pine.

What's the difference between MGP 10 and 12? (Frame of my new house suppose to be MGP10) how big are they?

12 is a bit stronger but 10 is fine. 12 can be a bit hard to nail sometimes.

Lol roof up next month or 2 or 3. Ill have something temporary soon though

super impressed with how this is coming together. really nice job mate, digging it!

Question I have for you is, how have you gone with council approvals and the likes? I imagine you'd need a structural engineer or something similar at some stage to sign off on things? how about insurances or liabilities etc.?

    Hi.

Yeah structural engineer and certifier is the first thing you get sorted while doing up the plans.

Certifier makes a few trips out and inspects during the build.

Pretty annoyed though. Old man comes around today and says I was supposed to do two timbers for the top plate not one. So Ill have to fix that up. Mind you I did ask him prior to building the wall and he didnt say I had to do anything special. Bahhhumbug.
