Hey Tim - looking good! When you get a chance, can you please give me the details for the kitchen cabinet mob you use. I remember you mentioning they were very reasonable for the ones you showed me in the IP. TIA.

That IP was magic kitchens. The ppor was a different one in melb. Austar. They advertise on ebay. I think our kitchen was 18k not including appliances and install. The one you saw at the ip was $3500

Lol the trestles are only 8.5m high easy to climb up.

Would be highly illegal for a tradesman to use them due to workplace health and safety. But I rang to make sure as the owner that I could use them. They said it's not a workplace as long as Im the only one working on it. So Im all sweet to put my own life in danger :p

Same reason they let you go on your own roof to clean your gutters but if a tradesman wants to do work on your roof they need to put up fall guards.

I also assume you have long legs. Those steps look I'd need to do split to reach them o_O

    Be safe

Currently fixing up a whole heap of dodgy crap I did with the handrails back when I didnt know what I was doing. At that height I want them to be strong. Also having to replace some posts that bent because the guy at bunnings told me to buy the wrong ones (needed finger jointed). Glad I don't have to rely on bunnings staff advice any more. 20180809_135111.jpg

Now oriented the right way so the palings cant be pushed put. And a little over the 1m min height instead of a little under. And reinforced with timber on the ends and batten screwed everywhere instead of dodgy little angle brackets holding everything together. And the palings have been reinforced with screws. Plus the middle block put in and batten screwed off for extra stability. And everything painted. Much safer now :) 20180810_112216.jpg 20180810_112221.jpg

Still think you need something to break up that Great Wall... like a skirt verandah etc.

There will be a carport there. That will go to mid height and break it up. Not everything can be a verandah lol
