Very nice. I have the older version of that. People love Rancilio but I'm a big fan of Lelit. But over time, I was dissatisfied with the grinder and I bought a Breville Smart Grinder Pro. I've also got a cold drip maker, I have fallen in love with cold drip!!!

I use a little Nuova Simonelli Oscar machine + Grinta grinder that I picked up second hand off CS. Merlo are my day to day bean of choice for consistency and value for money, but do like to mix it up from time to time.
Do many people here use the BeanHunter app? Very handy for coffee lovers that like a good brew!

I've been enjoying beans from a local Cairns roaster, Ransom Coffee, lately. Nearly time for another order, actually! I tried the Screaming Massai blend first; might have to try a different blend this time.

Ok, people will laugh (and may report my post as uncouth) but.... Aldi Organic Coffee (ground) done with plunger on weekends, Nature's Cuppa Organic Instant when I have less time! :D

Interestingly, Aldi's espresso beans won best supermarket sold bean at a coffee competition a couple of years ago. They are certainly not bad, compared to most supermarket sold beans (Vittoria, Lavazza, Robert Timms or dare I mention Cafe Aurora)

Just to think we Aussies are becoming such coffee connoisseurs, it was probably only 15-20 years ago and we all happy to get the kettle going and have Nescafé, roast instant coffee.......

I'd like to try this. I've heard about cold drip but I've never tried it. I have a Breville grinder, and it's great- it's worked flawlessly several times a day for about 4 years.

Apparently it's possible to make a form of cold drip with a French press- while obviously not as good, may give an indication of the final result.

Im the same. Just polished of an instant maccona with 2 sugars but also enjoy a barrista creation a few times a week.

Thought this must have been a trend, mentioned seemingly out of nowhere in Motor Trend's "World's Greatest Drag Race" (skip to 7:10)

In other news, selling the Lelit as I have just bought myself a Breville Oracle. Auto grind/dose/tamp, auto steam!! "Manual automatic" they're calling it...

Here's over $1200 (new) worth of stuff looking for a new home:

My Sunbeam 7000 Coffee Machine matched with Sunbeam Grinder and beans delivered from Bay Beans. Got it down to a fine art and better coffee than I can buy locally. :)
