    I don't know how much you paid but you wouldn't get an equivalent house in Perth for a quarter of it.

    If it wasn't for a lack of decent accessible schools for my baby I'd be all over deep waterfront in Church Point. Beautiful, unmolested, quiet part of Sydney fronting clean, unpolluted water. Also void from high wind where you can actually park your boat without worrying it ending up on top of your jetty

    For example;

    14 McCarrs Creek Road, Church Point, NSW 2105 - Property Details

    Sold for $3.9m which is a relative bargain considering its location and the seller bought the block for $2.4m and spent circa $2mil building the house

    And a cheaper reno project;

    40 McCarrs Creek Road, Church Point, NSW 2105 - Property Details

    Ahh yes...this majestic beast of a property. The only issue I see is it fronts the start of the foreshore walk which is very busy on the weekends and sometimes attracts unruly young locals at night. Everyone always has a gawk of the house as they walk past and the fort knox style security setup. I'm sure they would have experienced cases of damage/vandalism in the past! Small price to pay though and for the person buying it, they'd also be able to afford a security guard round the clock standing in front of the house ;)

    Marble is bautiful, but it's a showroom product - not very "real life" friendly. Too porous. Stains and scratches too easily. Laminam and Neolith and Smartstone are three excellent alternatives. We went with Laminam because of the island size. The other products slab sizes were too small and we didnt want joints where grout gets dirty

    Hmm, affordable! I’m not comfortable with a lot of PPOR debt so I’d have to say my current home. I love the layout. Teenage Kids pretty much live in the house, adults in the large extension that comes off the kitchen, dining area. The extension has pitched ceilings and glass on three sides so I love seeing the garden, sunrise, moon rise. I’d find it hard to not have this feature again, it feels so open to the outdoors and the western sun is blocked by the house. The kitchen is great, walk in pantry is good, I even have empty drawers and cupboards. The things I dislike are that it has a triple carport rather than triple garage and ensuite is small. It’s probably worth changing rather than moving. I think to build what I want new including landscaping would be around $500,000. Would that be right @Westminster? I’d love shiney and new but established is better value. 5902C25B-8185-40ED-91C4-6E1ED65B245D.png

    Wondering, do you have sandstone homes in Perth? I know Adelaide does. (Sorry, I've never been to WA)
