If you look at the map you can see directions of runways

Even better look at ANEF contour maps. Most council maps also have overlays for this.

I fly most weeks. I can remember once landing on the cross runway from that direction.

Not sure when you mean purchasing "there", you are referring to the east of Perth Airport or Redcliffe. But Redcliffe, will actually see a decrease of airport noise together with the gentrification taking place.

Thoughts on this? Im unsure what its worth.. the owner is a 70 year old who inherited the home from his parents, its in need of a serious clean internally to be liveable then we would renovate room by room and extend the garage into a 4 car garage and add a pool and landscaping front and back... PPOR for likely to be 30+ years. Does the reno job seem extensive and what would something like this go for potentially?

Depending on a few things, maybe early 800k around? No inside photos?

You couldnt take inside photos as the place was prepped for a move and very dated. It was built in ‘72 and hasnt been touched since and if i had to describe the place i would say it had not been cleaned for years and the bathrooms are closer to public toilets than anything else but i think the idea would be to completely renovate kitchen and bathrooms and close in a couple rooms to make a theatre and study then carpets and walls internally throughout.
Unsure of the reserve price but the agent said the seller was willing to meet the market. I told him we would not go over 750k and he’s been pestering me about making a bid (online auction)

Don't play their game. Write up an offer and send it to the agent. If the vendor isn't interested then at least serious negotiations will begin.

Had our terms and conditions met by seller and put in a starting bid. Saw a broker today, all is good there. Waiting until Thursday to see if we’re the highest bidder to begin negotiations as reserve has not been met.. exciting times!

It has street frontage. What does it take to convert it into green title or split into two lot survey-strata.

I just looked at the listing and they have a bid published on the ad... this seems like a highly unusual way to sell a property or are 'online auctions' typical in Perth?

I wouldn't want my private offer published on a website providing the opportunity for others to outbid it (it's a bit different when it's a live event with a structured start/end time, etc).

Seems like a dodgy way of creating a private bidding war. Anyway, good luck with it, hope you win for your desired price :)

it's a fairly newish thing here called a transparent auction. The rules are explained to each person and it's like the slowest real time auction with the potential for people to bid at the last 5 mins like ebay :p. Generally it takes awhile for anyone to put in a bid though as no one wants to be the first

That would kind of make sense, but then the ad says 'the Property can sell at anytime between now and 20/12' as if there is no fixed end time, doesn't seem transparent at all.

Hi, can I have your thoughts on this townhouse please?
17/39 Bronte Street, East Perth, WA 6004

Looks like it just dropped to $499k from a previous asking price of $549k.
Location is perfect for me and there's nothing even close to that price for a townhouse in the area.
