    Hi All,

My wife and I are in the early days of planning our trip to the Amalfi Coast in September this year. All up we have 8 nights to spend in the Amalfi Coast and are thinking of staying the whole time at Positano and do daytrips to other places (Capri etc).

Does anyone have any accommodation recommendations? Just a quick look on bookings.com shows a lot are already booked out for our dates.

    Thanks for your help.

Have you tried AirBnB and related sites?

We used airbnb for our whole trip to Italy last year and the accommodation was amazing - way better than you'd ever get in hotels. I love the personal touch of airbnb.

    No worries

I'd look at airbnb first though.

    Cheers

I've found Airbnb to be very reliable, once the booking has been made. Before the acceptance though it can be difficult, especially if you're new to the system. They can, and do, knock bookings back, so plan ahead. And I've had some amazing accommodation in other parts of the world, and people I still keep in touch with.

Send a message to Jess to get a referral, it will save both of you $25.

Best thing is to try it out in Australia a couple of times before you start booking for OS, to get your reputation on Airbnb.

We only had one place that we didn’t love - it was a room in a private house were the owner lived. It was a bit awkward so I wouldn’t do that again but the actual room and location were great. Also kind of nice to see what an apartment in Florence was like to live in. Just the lady made it weird.

Thanks everyone for your help. There are a couple of nice places on airbnb so fingers crossed I can snag one of them
