People seem to just push ahead with issues and worry about them later.
Do they generally just pay a fine or do people ever have to demolish a house if for example it breaches something like a height restriction?

 

This ugly thing sat for a while in the north of adelaide. Owner builder didnt build to approved plans, also built with timber frame rather then steel which was approved. Ordered to knock it over

Poor neighbours as well, that was going since 2008.

 

The moral of the story is, don't take 3 bloody years to build your house.. Strikes me as something they would have got away with if the neighbour's hadn't finally complained after living next to a construction zone for years.

 

True, that would have been awful.
Now they will have to put up with another build after all that, owners can probably only afford a crappy shack now.
