    Does anybody know where I can find a list (preferably in excel format) of all town populations across Australia? I have tried using the ABS website, but can only look up individual towns? I'm trying to identify all towns in Australia with a population greater than 10,000 people. I then want to narrow this list down to only those towns with average house prices less than $350k.
    Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Not what you're looking for but a little bit easier than individual searches and it's a start;

    https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_places_in_Victoria_by_population

    https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_places_in_South_Australia_by_population

    http://www.bobinoz.com/australias-states/new-south-wales/

    https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_places_in_Queensland_by_population and http://www.qgso.qld.gov.au/products/tables/erp-lga-reformed-qld/index.php (worth checking to see if every state has this kind of info, albeit a bit dated)

    There's about 700 towns with 10k plus population so might want to narrow it down even more!

    thanks so much AlexH. Yep 700 is a lot. I might start with my other filter (ie ave house prices under $350k) and then look up the town size.
