    Surely about 85% of Brisbane is the nicer areas.

    When you look only at the BCC footprint then percent wise it would be a lot higher then 25% even Rocklea is in the 450k range ,and that's where the tension begins with all the other area's and the further consequences outside that footprint..

    I voted Sydney. 1) The humidity in Brisbane is unbearable. 2) the CBD of Brisbane is pretty much a ghost town after 5:30pm..

    No such thing because I can get waaaaay more $$$$$$ in Sydney than in Brisbane. My earnings in Sydney despite the house prices is several multiple times what I can get in Brisbane (if any).

    Agree. Family, friends and support network is a big thing that ties people to a location, so can be more complex than the question suggests.

    But hey, if I keep it simplistic as per the OP’s intention, id go BNE any day is the week. But, I’d like a swimming pool thanks very much!
