If you had a choice, assuming all factors being the same/similar e.g. salary etc. And you had a choice between 2 places (low socio economic areas in Sydney vs prestige or near it in brisbane) , then which one would it be ? This is for living only, not IP.

    More capital growth in Sydney.

Therefore your PPOR will have more equity for further investments or that new car or kid's education or or anything.

C1 (1).jpg No need for a poll, ABS (and @petewargent) have been tracking this for some time.

The mountains reflected in the lake chart as I like to think of it...

If probably live in Brisbane because I like it more.

The issue is I don't want me kids to be Queenslanders.

You could always rent in low socio areas of Sydney if you love the lifestyle, no need to buy there.

All factors being equal, for a ppor I'd choose prestige Brisbane over lower socio areas in Sydney any day of the week. Easy decision.

Plus I love Brisbane anyway. It's a fantastic city to live in.

    Oh no.

More Mexicans coming over the border .

They have stuffed up their State; now they want to come over the border and stuff up ours :p.

Maybe we need a QID (Qld Immigration Department) and/or we build a wall :D.

What used to be "poor" places in Sydney have gentrified and became expensive.

People from other states ain't getting enough attention, and they will say only negative things about Sydney.

Brisbane any day of the week. Only way I’d live in Sydney is if I was making $300k + with a nice PPOR and able to 1. Live close to the city & 2. Have access to enjoy the water & facilities

Living 40km+ west and struggling seems completely pointless to me, what good is living in the harbour city if you can’t afford to enjoy any of it?

Post seems to have hit a nerve with @Waterboy but I’d say it’s a very relevant post that many are mentally considering and doing judging by migration stats

This poll is not about money. It's simply asking where would you live if you had a choice.

That is exactly the sort of wall we need.

Shoulder to shoulder red heads. Best use of a red head ever.

You're overestimating. I know a lot of Sydneysiders who earn much less than that and still enjoy the lifestyle you're talking about.
