    All,

I am looking to purchase a property in Brisbane North which has spa outside Bedroom. This property does not have a pool safety certificate. Does any one know how much would it roughly cost to get pool safety certificate before renting it if my offer gets accepted?

I guess may need some fence etc and some cost for inspection and certificate itself. Will it be cheaper to get the spa removed than getting certificate?

    Cheers

I know when our son looked into the requirements to reinstate the spa built in the back yard of his house he chose instead to leave it filled with dirt and planted out rather than go through the whole safety certificate and cost of fencing it.

The new owner can reinstate it as a spa if she wants to.

I wouldn't want a spa in an IP (or a pool).

Thanks Wylie, that's great suggestion you have made. I agree, it would be heaps cheaper to leave it as it is. I was thinking of selling it but was not sure if I would get much for it. I am still negotiating the price so will see how I go. Thanks.
