PM In Geelong area. Rates? Recommendations?

Hi all,

About to purchase a place near Geelong, anyone have any good recommendations of who they use as a PM and what the going rate is?

Currently it is already being managed at 8.8% inc GST, which seems on the high-side. Currently I am getting 5.5% Inc GST on a property in Dallas, Victoria.

DT makes an important point. Service is much more important. Mine offered 8 first up but dropped to 6.6% easily enough.

Unfortunately due to staff changes service has been lacking, but it's getting better after stating what I expect.

 

Who are you using that is charging 8.8% ?

One option might be that if you are happy with the service, indicate to them you are choking on the rate and are aware you could do better and negotiate the rate downwards to prevent you going elsewhere.

 

I use Barry Plant (Robert Downie) in Geelong. They charge the standard rate of 7.7% (inclusive of GST) and I've been very happy with them. If you have more properties then the rate goes down.

 

We are happy with McDonald and Co. Only 1 property in Geelong so no big discount. I think we pay 7.7%, as well, with very few other monthly fees that can add up.
