What are people's thoughts on Plympton Park and surrounds? Seeing some relatively fairly valued houses on market at the moment (fairly valued compared to here in Melbourne)! Very close to the city and Glenelg, you'd think there would be some capital growth potential there. I know Adelaide has never shown the levels of Sydney or Melbourne, but it surely doesn't have nothing to offer. Anybody have experience with the suburbs around there? Is it a nice area?
Although it has historically had some jousing trust houses i think it is well located and improving over time. Good option.
8ks from the CBD, on the road to the beach. Huge growth over the past year. If I was buying in Adelaide and had 600k its where I'd be looking.
Well located. Most of the suburb is zoned Residential Code (pink), go for something in there. Sits in the Marion CC who are pro-development (blue lines show approved or finished divisions)
Housing tenure | City of Marion | Community profile 14% of the suburb was renting from social housing in 2016, which was down from 16.3% in 2011. https://www.sa.gov.au/__data/assets...rty-and-Tenancy-Management-Transfers-FAQs.pdf The previous state Labor government handed management of a large amount of public housing in Plympton Park over to community housing in September 2017 under the Renewing Our Streets and Suburbs program. The program aims to redevelop public housing by having former public housing having maintenance and management run by community housing providers with the aim to renew/redevelop the old housing stock, which mainly consists of 40+ year old properties. Plympton Park is definitely a suburb with potential.
I like the whole Plympton area, I was looking in Plympton Park and South Plympton but had to settle for Park Holme for our PPOR. I hope to get some gains in the future, there is a lot of construction around.
