Plans and certification fees - Logan City Council

    Hi, I have received a quotation to build a 30m2 deck at our new PPOR. Never done this before.

    I asked for a quote fully inclusive of all engineering, certification and Council costs, and its that aspect of the quote I am questioning - seems very high.

    * Preliminary drawings - $1800 (not even sure what that means)
    * Full set of drawings - $1800
    * Engineering fees - $3200
    * Town Planner fees - $3800
    * Council fees - $1300
    * Certification fees - $1200


    Does this seem too much for those of you with relevant knowledge/experienvce?
