    Hello Folks,

    I am planning to buy an apartment in Melbourne CBD or Docklands because of easy office commute. I just want to know your thoughts on that. Is it worth buying a property in CBD/Docklands? Any suggestions?

    Absolutely not worth the headache of high strata fees and loss of capital once you sell.

    Just rent. It is cheap in those locations. Victoria harbour in Docklands IMO has the best mix of quiet, proximity to CBD and decent build quality apartments (check out the Lendlease developments, Dock 5 and Convesso/concavo buildings).

    You are better off buying a tent and pitching it in Victoria gardens.
