    Did you remove the original floor tiles or did you lay the laminate on top of the tiles?

    It was the finest cheapest vinyl around back in the 70's as i understand :D very realistic.
    i just pulled it off and scraped back some of the remaining glue

    Update
    Handy man been out to do a few jobs and paint the decks.
    Carport man started today on the front awning. Will also put a carport down the side, he will send me photos as he goes.
    Painter has gone awol, that's the PM's guy so he can wait till the awning is up now as i got in first;)

    Looking forward to seeing some photos soon

    Driveway on the back burner for a while

    Ok work done! ....only thing is no one has got me a decent photo in the AM when the sun is shining on the front!

    Work done carport, front awning, paint front facade and deck

    Small pet peeve. .why do painters paint the down pipes the same colour as facia! :mad: i want those ugly things hidden not a feature!

    @bob shovel Did you DIY the front awning? If so, is it easy enough? I am thinking to do that on my PPOR as in the photo below too:

    I'm interstate so had a tradie I've used before take care of it. Diy not so hard if you're that way inclined. Bunnings have plenty of info sheets available

    How is your job progressing? You'll need to update your thread, i remember the photo

    I'll update my thread. For now, the job has been slowly progressing. Getting an aging renderer to render the whole house and being in the middle of winter wet season in Melbourne, we are waiting for a nice sunny day to put an acrylic top coat. Will post some photos once the render job is done. So far pretty happy with the 2 coats.
