And, in the Woolies carpark, and all. Why didn't you put the Pink Smoke tyres on, and start shouting "Down! Down! Prices are down!", just to tease them a bit?

Thank you @Kinnon Bell. Some pretty good deals. I think i've decided on the Nikon D3400 which fits the budget really well. A good tripod and I should be good. Thanks again.

Here's one I took while camping at Lakefield recently. A stitch of ~30 photos. Actual photo size 2.33m and a file size of 3.2gig.

@Kinnon Bell Brilliant night shot ! - I aspire to such pictures but just havent been able to get out and do that. Its amazing what we can't see and what is only revealed to us through time, patience and a lens.

I've tried a night shot from the backyard but there is to much skyglow in suburbia.

    Thanks!

This shot was taken in the northern end of Lakefield National Park so no light pollution at all. Even with the naked eye you could see the Milky Way from one side of the horizon to the other. It was amazing.

Yep, suburbia sucks for astro photography! Good excuse to get away for a night to somewhere remote when there's no moon!

Mega Double Rainbow last month behind our garage.

Something interesting I discovered - the autofocus on my E-M10 doesn't work for rainbows.

You can still do some interesting shots - like the moon and suburban sky (find the shooting stars ;) )

Pumpkins are a dessert over there, they are surprised that we treat them as a vegetable with main course.

Pumpkin pie as a dessert can be really good, with the jack-o'-lantern pumpkin variety- our pumpkins can be a bit strongly flavoured. They need to do something with all that pumpkin pulp.

US seems to be doing well since GFC if they can afford $50 pumpkins and all sold...

Its a great example of the Sheet hitting the fan, then the eventual recovery and life moves on. The doom and gloomers always get left far behind.

Its just a tad crazy at the moment, BCs (building contractors) are worth their weight in gold, no one returns calls, frustrating.
