Use the planningalerts.org.au site to search for DAs within the radius of any of the Next Gen Neighbourhood zones within the Moreton Bay area.

Look for DAs lodged since about 2015/16 when the new zoning came into effect.

You will need to look at the Planning Scheme maps for Next Gen Neighbourhood zones and then use this as determining a range of suburbs in MBRC to focus your search.

    Planning scheme maps

Find a street address within the middle of a range of Next Gen Neighbourhood zones and use that to focus your search using planningalerts.org.au ( use the "closest first" button on the results page ).

sorry for the late response, was offline for a fair bit there... Cheers for the suggestion, will have a look into it...

That said, went over to the rental as was in the middle of changing property management and its only one room that smells of smoke, not the the entire house either way not ideal... Tenant let slip that they have some spray that gets rid of the smell which I was not sold on... Politely asked that he smoke outside from now on for his benefit and mine, cause an accident would be very costly to both of us.

Anyway, informed the new RE of the status and they will manage it from here with the tenant... the old management just let the tenant do as he wishes.

Look into Booval, North Booval, plenty of TH development sites there and very cheap.

The whole area is lighting up, with properties going above and beyond the half million mark.

One day we'll look back and find it hard to believe there were once free standing homes on 600m blocks around the $300k mark prior to 2019 in the Petrie/Kallangur/Lawnton area. A few years later, and you've gotta be pretty damn lucky to get something half decent around the $470k mark now.

I have a block in Petrie that is 728sq. 19m frontage. It's got an old house that is costing me in maintenance. Any suggestions as to what would work well there?

Sell it if the product doesn't suit you, I guess you're in VIC at the moment?

Just looked at the latest 20 or so houses that sold in Petrie - could not find a single one under $500k now.

    Wow just wow.

    Yippee!!

25 Oleron Tce Petrie just sold for $540k. Doesnt even have an attached LUG only carport although has a shed on the side which they are calling "Car Accommodation" LOL

    https://www.realestate.com.au/sold/property-house-qld-petrie-136693210

Prices have moved soooo much up here. I got one down the road in 2017 for $360k. Its comparable with LUG and slightly bigger land.
