    Hi all
Only new on here and have been keeping an eye on either North side of Bris or South, got some info from friends in QLD that Petrie is up and coming due to University opening in 2020 and Bray Park, had a look at areas with lots of schools, trains etc.
    Any thoughts?

There are plenty of threads and discussions on these areas before. I would suggest you do a search first and it’ll give you good dump of info, including a thread that has frequent updates on Petrie and the new uni.

The price has been going up steadily over the last twelve months but you should still be able to get 3/1/1 houses on 600sqm block at the $400k mark around Bray Park and further parts of Petrie. Will be more towards $500k as you go closer to the Petrie station (where the new uni will be). Also development potential blocks have been selling at a premium so definitely crunch your numbers before jumping in.

So if you got $550k to spend then you should have plenty of options but be careful not to overpay. Do comparison analysis to see what equivalent stocks are selling for so you know what they should be worth.

Though with that kind of budget I would consider to go closer to Brisbane CBD. The likes of Everton Hills, Ferny Grove, Ferny Hills and Arana Hills are all in this budget.

    Cheers,
    David
