    Hi all,

I have 6 houses in QLD and have just had pest inspections done - they don't have any active termites, but 5 out of 6 of them don't have protection in place.

What's the best protection to have in place, and can anyone recommend a well-priced contractor who is reliable and uses a good product?

Termites scare me as insurance doesn't cover damage and it's hard to spot...

    Thanks

IMO the best protection is to have regular inspections so you can catch anything early. The termite protection systems are about $5K initially + 6 monthly servicing costs for EACH house.

But since you have 6 houses you are obviously a rich landlord who can afford it.:p

We've used Rifle Pest Management for many years. Family owned and run and you will not be ripped off.

We don't have barriers either, and just get Wayne and/or his sons in every year or so to check the places.
