Is it normal for the pest guy to spray in the cutlery draw...with the cutlery in? Or the pantry with all the food in it? Or the linen cupboard with all the linen in it?!!!

Up to day 3 of re-cleaning everything....

Was I supposed to take everything out before he came? If not, should he have asked?

Haven't had much to do with pest controllers before. Genuine question.

Spraying the entire nook and cranny sounds reasonable then? I'd expect that they would tell me to move stuff before spraying on them though!

Termites? Spraying inside cupboards cannot have been for termites. Probably for ants, and even then, we've not had that treatment method for ants.

Even our cockroach and general pest treatments in the past have been a spot of gel placed here and there inside cupboards, no need to move anything.

The old days of spraying DDT into completely unpacked cupboards are long gone. I wonder what the spray was?

Heh...I came into this thread thinking someone had invented a new product you can spray on both pests and tenants to control them. I am dissapoint.

Needs extermination rather than control then. I find using a boot works well.

Doesn't sound normal to spray the cutlery area. Spraying around entrances is safe and adequate already for unwanted pests. You could even do it yourself using the Mortein high performance surface spray indoors which is quite effective.

Don't worry, it was probably just colored water to cut costs and maximise cost for greedy rich landlord.

I am wondering why they sent one anyway, if your the tenant you should be looking after it anyway unless the place was infested when you got it.

On a serious note, I think the person who did this if they used chemicals was an idiot or is just treating you as an idiot.

Is the spray a cheap form of birth control?
