    Hi all,

    First post on Property Chat, hopefully someone can help me out! I've currently got a property in the illustrious Perth suburb of Girrawheen that will be going onto the rental market in the next 2 months and require some advice on reliable and good Property Managers as it is my first rental property.

    Ill be travelling overseas for 12 months and really would like someone on the ball. Hunting through here and the old Somersoft forums I get the idea DFR and Paddington Realty are pretty reliable.

    Any other suggestions/advice/experiences would be greatly appreciated!

    Cheers!

    I can, hand on heart, recommend;

    Jarrah Mahon at Investors Edge, and

    Karen Gravenall at Handle Realty.

    No mate, separate division entirely.

    I don't work there anymore anyway!

    I know Karen well and she's one of 'those' property managers your tenants love if they pay bills and one they hate if they don't.

    I use Tom Cooper at TC Realty - having a mature male PM can be a good bonus in the slightly dodgy areas. He's a take no nonsense kind of guy.

    Thankyou Aaron an Westminster for your replies, really appreciate it. Time for some interviews. Heard a few horror stories from neighbors about lazy PM's that ended up costing them time and money so wanted to be sure.

    Would anyone care to give me a basic rundown of expected fee structures etc?

    Thanks again!

    Haha yes of course, was just trying to gauge a ballpark from people who have a huge amount of experience before I start calling around.

    If you do talk to Paddington, ask for Rob. He's the guy there who looks after my IP in Perth and is a gun. Tell him I said hi.

    I've got one property with Co & Co now. Only been with them for 3 months but so far so good.

    I've also used K& A realty and won't go near them with a ten foot pole ever again.

    Good luck girrawheen is a shocker at the moment.
