I should of placed more padding underneath the cabinet on the trip from the shop to the house. Maybe a fault in the stone?

Ive made a few calls to some stone suppliers two quotes so far $600 & $750 :(

You know I love a good horizontal grain.

What floor tiles are you using with this kitchen?

PS on the back of the island I hope they warned you that they will need to do a break in the laminex as the sheets are only 2400mm long

No warning but thanks for the waning, just checked the working drawings and yep a joint right in the middle.
How bad will this stand out ?
Would you change the back to a solid colour ?

If they grain match it, it will be ok and hardly noticeable. If they don't then it will stand out like dogs balls.
Ask them if they can grain match (or book match) it like they would a door but a door is usually cut from the same piece. I'm not sure if laminex sheets do this

Calling @Jamie_ can LMX Seductive Limba sheets be grain or book matched as whole sheets

    Tile problems :
    1) These are the two tiles we picked, all looks good until you try and be a little creative and have a feature wall in the showers with the floor tile following up one wall. The white tile is about 1.5mm taller than the greyo_O(see second pic), back to double white showers :).

    2) The plumber installed the bath about 4mm to tight on one end so the tile will not sit flush with the bath:(

That 1.5mm is sooo annoying but you called it right and all white will be better. If you get tiles from same manufacturer then you have more chance of them actually being the same size

Are you running the grey up and over the bath hob?

It's the way I do it. You can then decide if you want the wall tiles above the bath to be white to match the shower or grey there as well

Just heard back from the cabinet maker he suggested breaking the back up into 4 panels 500-600 as the grain won’t match but won’t this double the problem

Do you have any full height cabinetry in the kitchen like a pantry? Was that being done in Seductive Limba too?

If you do have full height and that was SL too then the grain won't work horizontal on it as the rectangle sheet is tipped sideways and so it would need a join at 1200mm high.

    So options
    1. run all the grains vertical
    2. introduce a feature colour for areas that are full height and/or the rear of the bench where it needs a join
    3. hope that the join in the rear of the bench is had some thought put into it so it's a complementary/similar piece at join

I hate, hate, hate moving tiles. Between the reno and the build I have moved well over 2 tonnes of tiles. More than enough for one lifetime
