I live in the country. I have a city house in Perth which is currently rented out but I'm looking to sell it and downsize to achieve a mortgage-free city property to come and go from. I'm not finding what I want in established homes and wondered about house and land packages. However, my family believes that some newly built homes are selling for less than what it cost to build them. Is that correct? What is the relevant expert to talk to about this issue? Real Estate Agents want to sell established homes, builders want to build you a home... is there an objective expert that considers both perspectives that I should seek out? Thanks for your help.
